Set in the vast landscapes of New Mexico, The Boroughs introduces a seemingly idyllic retirement haven that quickly turns into something far more unsettling. When newcomer Sam Cooper experiences a chilling encounter in the dead of night, he begins to suspect that something sinister lurks beneath the surface. Ignored by authorities, he teams up with a group of overlooked residents to uncover the truth. The newly released trailer teases a tense blend of mystery, horror, and character-driven storytelling.
The visual effects work is made by ILM, Framestore, Ghost VFX, SSVFX, Crafty Apes and SDFX Studios. The production’s visual effects are supervised by Tara DeMarco.
Set to premiere on May 21, 2026 on Netflix,
