The invisible visual effects created by Framestore for The Agency Season 2 deliver seamless enhancements that support the series’ grounded spy thriller aesthetic while remaining completely unnoticed by the audience.
Designed to remain invisible, Framestore’s work focused on subtly reinforcing the action throughout The Agency Season 2. The team enhanced gunfire, wounds, smoke, squibs, explosions, and screen graphics, while also delivering extensive digital environment work including DMP set extensions, sign replacements, and cleanup of sets and camera equipment.
The project also introduced new technical challenges, including the use of ML/AI crowd generation for selected shots to extend live-action crowds while preserving their appearance. Another standout sequence combined ten different plates into a single long stitch shot, seamlessly integrating a CG knife, a CG truck crash, and a mix of practical and digital effects.
