A brand-new clip from The Mandalorian and Grogu offers a first look at the next chapter of the Star Wars duo’s adventure, showing Din Djarin in a dangerous situation as he comes face to face with the Hutt Twins.
The Mandalorian and Grogu reveals a galaxy struggling to rebuild as scattered Imperial warlords threaten the stability of the New Republic. Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) returns to bounty hunting under new alliances, while Grogu’s growing abilities hint at larger conflicts ahead. Blending large-scale battles, intimate character moments, and expansive world-building, the film expands the Star Wars timeline with cinematic ambition
The film is directed by Jon Favreau, with John Knoll serving as Production Visual Effects Supervisor and Abbigail Keller as Production VFX Producer. Visual effects are led by ILM (VFX Supervisor: Jeff Capogreco; Associate VFX Supervisors: Justin Van Der Lek, Tania Richard, Kabir Verma; VFX Producers: Nicole Matteson, Tomasz Wachnik). Additional visual effects work was delivered by Hybride, Image Engine, Important Looking Pirates and Tippett Studio, contributing to the film’s expansive and detailed Star Wars universe.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled to premiere in U.S. theaters on May 22, 2026, continuing the saga of two of the franchise’s most iconic modern characters in a full-scale cinematic adventure.
