A new featurette for Supergirl has been released, featuring James Gunn alongside the film’s lead actress as they discuss the upcoming DC Studios movie. The video also offers new footage from Kara Zor-El’s epic interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
The story follows Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, as she sets out on a cosmic journey after a ruthless adversary strikes too close to home. Forced to join forces with an unlikely companion, Kara embarks on a mission driven by vengeance and justice, facing powerful threats across the universe.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film features visual effects led by Production VFX Supervisor Geoffrey Baumann and Production VFX Producer Nicole Rowley, with VFX work delivered by Digital Domain (VFX Supervisor: Michael Melchiorre), Framestore, ILM (VFX Supervisor: Malcolm Humphreys) and Barnstorm VFX.
Supergirl is set for release in U.S. theaters on June 26, 2026.
