Robin Hollander began his career in visual effects as a runner at MPC. He worked on many projects such as ALEXANDER or THE DA VINCI CODE. In 2007, he joined Weta Digital and participate in films like AVATAR, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN.

Eric Saindon began working in visual effects at Santa Barbara Studios on STAR TREK INSURRECTION and SUPERNOVA. In 2000, he joined Weta Digital to work on the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy. Then he worked on projects such as I ROBOT, KING KONG or AVATAR.

Paul and Christina Graff are the founders of Crazy Horse Effects. Before that they worked on many projects at Digital Backlot such as THERE WILL BE BLOOD, THE AVIATOR or TROPIC THUNDER. In the following interview, they talk about their collaboration with director Oliver Stone.

I take advantage of this special day, my birthday, to offer you the last part of my interview videos filmed during the conferences at Imaging the Future held last July in Neuchatel, Switzerland. I am pleased to have been able to interview one of the VFX masters in the person of Michael Fink, Senior VFX Supervisor with an impressive career that includes films such as BLADE RUNNER, BATMAN RETURNS, THE HUNT OF RED OCTOBER and more recently THE GOLDEN COMPASS, SUCKER PUNCH or AVATAR. He received the Best Visual Effect Academy Award for THE GOLDEN COMPASS.

For over 14 years, Rudi Holzapfel worked in many studios such as Framestore, Double Negative, MPC, Rising Sun Pictures and recently Baseblack. He has participated in numerous projects such as PITCH BLACK, TROY, BATMAN BEGINS, AVATAR, or CLASH OF THE TITANS.

Martin Hill began his career in VFX at Double Negative, where he worked on films like BELOW, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK or BATMAN BEGINS. He then joined Weta Digital for KING KONG. He worked on many projects like ERAGON, AVATAR, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES or THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN.

Guy Williams started in visual effects in 1993 and worked on films such as DROP ZONE MARS ATTACKS! or WING COMMANDER. In 1999, he joined Weta Digital and work on the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, I ROBOT or KING KONG. As a VFX supervisor, he took care of AVATAR, THE A-TEAM or X-MEN FIRST CLASS.

Grady Cofer is working in VFX for over 15 years. He participated in many projects at Digiscope as an Flame artist such as VOLCANO, TITANIC or GODZILLA. He then joined ILM and worked on films like PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy, STAR WARS EPISODE II and III as well as STAR TREK and AVATAR.

From 8 to 11th Mai took place the FMX 2012 with an impressive selection of high quality conferences. This was an great opportunity to meet many artists interviewed here and also make beautiful meetings. A big thanks to the FMX staffs!
