From London and Dubai to New York, BlueBolt delivered 365 VFX shots for Jack Ryan: Ghost War, crafting seamless visual effects that combined complex CG environments, vehicles, explosions, and large-scale destruction with practical photography.
BlueBolt played a key role in some of the film’s most ambitious sequences, including the collapse of a glass floor inside a skyscraper in Dubai. To achieve the effect, the team built a fully CG version of the location and used simulations to recreate the cracking and destruction of the glass structure, while seamlessly integrating practical photography and studio footage.
The studio also contributed to the film’s climactic action scenes by extending a real skyscraper with additional CG floors, creating digital city views, and enhancing large-scale shootouts with glass destruction, explosions, and CG aircraft. Additional work included augmenting the Dubai Marina boat chase with digital boats, water simulations, cleanup work, and face replacements for stunt performers.
