Step onto the pitch with VFX Supervisor Craig Wentworth, the cast, and the crew of Brazil 70: The Third Star.. This sneak peek offers an early look at the production of the Netflix miniseries celebrating Brazil’s legendary 1970 World Cup campaign.
Beyond recreating iconic goals and tactical masterstrokes, the series explores the fears, doubts and internal conflicts surrounding the squad during one of Brazil’s most turbulent political eras. Featuring Lucas Agrícola as Pelé and Rodrigo Santoro and Bruno Mazzeo as Saldanha and Zagallo, the production aims to authentically capture the emotion and spectacle of the Seleção’s historic campaign.
The visual effects are handled by Picma Creative Post, FOLKS, o2poste, NetFX, and Eyeline, with Craig Wentworth serving as Production VFX Supervisor and Veronique Messier Lauzon as Production VFX Producer.
Created by Rafael Dornellas and Naná Xavier, the series blends large-scale stadium recreations, period reconstruction and immersive match sequences to bring one of football’s most iconic moments back to life. And is set to premiere May 29, 2026 on Netflix.
