This new featurette for Avatar: Fire and Ash takes viewers behind the scenes of the Wind Traders and the fearsome Ash People, guided by director James Cameron alongside Lightstorm VFX Supervisor Richard Baneham and Weta FX Animation Supervisor Daniel Barrett.
Blending interviews with behind-the-scenes visuals, the video highlights the evolution of the visual effects through concept art, breakdowns, and VFX progression, offering a detailed look at how these new tribes were designed, refined, and realized for the screen.
The Production VFX Supervisor is Joe Letteri. The visual effects are made by Weta FX, with VFX Supervisors Eric Saindon and Daniel Barrett and by ILM, with VFX Supervisors Charles Lai and Jeff White, and Associate VFX Supervisor Marko Chulev.
