The first trailer for The Uprising has been released. Directed by Paul Greengrass (The Lost Bus), the historical drama stars Andrew Garfield as the leader of a rebellion against King Richard II. As war spreads across England, he gathers an army of ordinary people to challenge the King’s forces in a fight for justice and survival.
The film’s visual effects are supervised by Production VFX Supervisor Murray Barber, with Clare Norman serving as Production VFX Producer. The VFX work is being created by Outpost VFX, Echo FX, Kapow! VFX, Primary Visual Effects and Vine FX.
The Uprising is directed by Paul Greengrass and is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on September 11, 2026.
