In Fallout Season 2, the Berlin and Stuttgart teams of RISE delivers an ambitious set of visual effects, pushing the retro-futuristic universe further with complex aerial sequences, large-scale destruction, and expansive environments.
RISE developed a more detailed version of the Caswennan dirigible, including faction variations, while choreographing intricate vertibird sequences such as the arrival at Area 51 and a complex mid-air docking sequence. These moments required precise coordination between animation, layout, and effects to achieve seamless integration.
On the environment side, the team crafted a pre-bombing view of Shady Sands and built a procedurally destroyed Los Angeles. The work also includes a large-scale atomic explosion, extensive Area 51 set extensions, dune environments, and simulations, culminating in a dramatic dirigible crash enhanced by cold fusion and diode glow effects.
