For Season 4 of The Witcher, Vine FX returned to the franchise with nearly 70 visual effects shots delivered across seven episodes, supporting the series’ expanding world and heightened supernatural elements.
Working across seven episodes, Vine FX delivered nearly 70 shots combining creature work, invisible effects, and action augmentation. Their contribution included environment reconstructions from Lidar data, blue screen extensions, mountain builds, and carefully abstracted landscapes designed to avoid recognisable real-world geography.
Among the most technically demanding moments was a fully CG creature sequence driven by close interaction with an actress’s face. With no room to hide imperfections, the team tracked minute facial details to generate accurate contact shadows and deformation, ensuring a tactile and emotionally intense result.
