The BAFTA has officially unveiled the longlists for the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards, including the Special Visual Effects category. Congratulations to the creative teams behind the ten shortlisted films!

Round Two voting is now open to BAFTA’s voting members, beginning today at 4pm GMT and closing on Tuesday 20 January 2026 at 6pm GMT.
The official nominations will be revealed on Tuesday 27 January via the BAFTA YouTube channel, ahead of the winners announcement at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony on Sunday 22 February.
