How do you stage a finale this big? The crew and actors of Stranger Things break down the filming of the epic final battle, with rare insights from set and a long clip from the sequence itself!
These two newly released videos take viewers behind the scenes of the series finale, offering a detailed look at the preparation, staging, and execution of the show’s climactic final battle. Combining on-set footage, cast and crew commentary, and an extended clip from the sequence itself, the featurette highlights the scale and complexity involved in bringing Stranger Things to its conclusion.
The Production VFX Supervisor is Betsy Paterson, supported by Associate VFX Supervisors Sean Ames, Philip Horn and Craig Seitz, with Viet Luu serving as Production VFX Producer. Visual effects were delivered by Weta FX (VFX Supervisor: Martin Hill), ILM (VFX Supervisor: Bill Georgiou, VFX Producers: Corinne Teng, Damian Temporale) along with BigHugFX, Accenture Song, Eyeline, Rodeo FX and The Yard VFX.
Created by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Netflix, with Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 at Christmas, and the series finale on New Year’s Eve.
