Man on Fire: Explosions, Crowds and City Extensions by SSVFX

From intense prison action to sprawling city environments, SSVFX crafted a wide range of visual effects for Man on Fire. Their work includes large-scale set extensions, atmospheric effects, and the augmentation of numerous action sequences throughout the series.

SSVFX was responsible for extensive environment work throughout Man on Fire, including the recreation of downtown Santa Fe as Leblon, Rio. The project required significant city extensions as well as the integration of digital crowds, first responders, firetrucks spraying water, and atmospheric elements such as falling ash and embers.

The studio also contributed to several action-driven sequences, including explosive moments and the augmentation of large-scale set pieces. By combining environment creation, digital doubles, crowd work, and effects simulations, SSVFX helped expand the scope and realism of the series while supporting its dynamic visual storytelling.
