The new trailer for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy teases a chilling story of loss, mystery, and supernatural horror, as a long-missing child returns under deeply unsettling circumstances.
After vanishing in the desert as a child, a journalist’s daughter returns home eight years later under mysterious circumstances. But her reappearance brings more questions than answers, as relief slowly turns into dread. The trailer hints at a grounded yet terrifying descent into supernatural horror, where the past refuses to remain buried.
The Production VFX Supervisor is Russell Bowen and the Production VFX Producer is John Kennedy. Visual effects were delivered by Elephant Goldfish, beloFX (supervised by Blake Anderson with Laura Jones serving as VFX Producer) and by Cinesite (supervised by Nathalie Girard) supporting the film’s unsettling and atmospheric visual identity.
Directed by Lee Cronin, the film is set to be released in U.S. theaters on April 17, 2026.
