Two years ago, Matt Johnson had told us about the work of Cinesite on X-MEN FIRST CLASS. To talk about WORLD WAR Z, he is accompanied with Anthony Zwartouw (CG Supervisor) and Thomas Dyg (Environment Supervisor).

During his last visit here, Bryan Grill had explained to us the work of Scanline VFX on HEREAFTER. He then worked on GULLIVER'S TRAVELS and THE AVENGERS.

Simon Stanley-Clamp explained the Cinesite's work on PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES on his last visit to The Art of VFX. He then worked on JOHN CARTER and today he explains his work on IRON MAN 3.

Guy Williams had talked to us here about the visual effects of Weta Digital on THE AVENGERS a year ago. He is back with this new Marvel production and explains the many challenges on this film. Aaron Gilman started his career in animation more than 10 years ago. He worked for studios such as Meteor Studios and Tippett Studio on projects like MATRIX REVOLUTIONS, HELLBOY, CONSTANTINE or JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH. He then joined Weta Digital to work on AVATAR. After that he worked on films such as THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN, THE AVENGERS and THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY.

Here is my summary of FMX 2013. It was a great edition full of interesting conferences and meetings. See you in 2014.

Christopher Townsend joined ILM in 1995. He stayed 11 years there and will work on projects such as CONGO, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: AI, HULK and also the new STAR WARS trilogy. Since 2008, he is VFX supervisor and take care of movies such as JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, NINJA ASSASSIN or CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER.

Maciej Jackiewicz and the team of Platige Image had talked about THE WITCHER 2. He is back on The Art of VFX to explain his work on the CYBERPUNK 2077 teaser.

Lara Lom began her VFX career at Pixomondo and worked on the films FAST FIVE and HUGO. She then joined MPC in 2012 and participated in numerous projects such as DARK SHADOWS, TOTAL RECALL and PROMETHEUS.

Jon Neill joined Cinesite more than 15 years ago. He has worked on many projects such as EVENT HORIZON, LOST IN SPACE, THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY or HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. As VFX supervisor, he took care of JOHN CARTER.

Arundi Asregadoo is back on The Art of VFX. After he had talked about the effects on DARK SHADOWS, he explains the work of MPC on the final sequence of SKYFALL.
