In 2011, Jesper Kjolsrud had explained in details the work of Image Engine for THE THING. He then supervised the effects R.I.P.D. As one of Image Engine’s longest serving crewmembers, Bernhard Kimbacher has contributed to many of the company’s projects, including DISTRICT 9; THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE; THE THING; BATTLESHIP and ELYSIUM. He joined Jesper on set in New Mexico as Plate Supervisor for LONE SURVIVOR and was also the Compositing Supervisor.
After working with Douglas Trumbull as traditional model maker, Russell Earl joined the teams of ILM in the beginning of the 90s. He worked on many projects such as DRAGONHEART, DEEP IMPACT, STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE and MEN IN BLACK II. As VFX Supervisor, he took care of the effects for movies like TRANSFORMERS, RED TAILS, STAR TREK and SUPER 8.
Lindy DeQuattro worked at ILM for over 15 years. She has participated in projects such as DEEP IMPACT, MINORITY REPORT, HULK or VAN HELSING. As visual effects supervisor, she took care of movies like RUSH HOUR 3, CLONES or THE GREAT GATSBY.
In 2011, Chad Wiebe talked about his work on FINAL DESTINATION 5. He has since joined Scanline VFX and worked on BATTLESHIP. Today he explains his work on MAN OF STEEL.
Bill George began his career in visual effects as a model maker in 1979 on STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE. After completing his work on BLADE RUNNER, he joined ILM in 1981. He created models for many films such as STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - RETURN OF THE JEDI, INNERSPACE or GHOSTBUSTERS II. In 1997, he became a visual effects supervisor and take care of many films like GALAXY QUEST, HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, EVAN ALMIGHTY or I AM NUMBER FOUR.
After beginning his career in traditional animation, Joe Farrell goes digital on TV series such as STARGATE SG-1 or JEREMIAH. Few years later, he joined Digital Domain and worked on films such as I, ROBOT, FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, TRANSFORMERS or 2012. In 2010, he moved to Scanline VFX to work on HEREAFTER and then on IMMORTALS and BATTLESHIP.
