Dan Glass has 25 years of experience in visual effects. As a VFX supervisor, he took care of the effects of many movies like THE MATRIX sequels, V FOR VENDETTA, THE TREE OF LIFE and JUPITER ASCENDING.

In 2016, Dan DeLeeuw explained his work on CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Today, he tells us about the challenges on the epic new AVENGERS film.

Dennis Jones began his career in visual effects in London, working at Jim Henson's Creature Shop and Peerless Camera Company. He then joined Rising Sun Pictures in 2005 and worked on numerous films such as WATCHMEN, THE HUNGER GAMES, GRAVITY, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

Chris LeDoux began his career in visual effects as a compositor at The Orphanage in 2004. He then worked in numerous studios such as Uncharted Territory, Cafe FX or Scanline VFX. In 2011, he founded Crafty Apes with his brother Tim LeDoux and Jason Sanford. He has taken care of the effects of many films such as AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, DOCTOR STRANGE and LA LA LAND.

Pierre Raymond is a true pioneer in the visual effects industry with over 35 years of experience. In 1991, he founded with Sylvie Talbot, Daniel Leduc and Michel Murdock: Hybride Technologies, the first company specializing in digital visual effects in Quebec.

Vincent Cirelli worked on many Marvel productions. In 2014, he talked to us about the Luma Pictures work on THOR: THE DARK WORLD. Then he worked on GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and ANT-MAN. He also oversaw the effects of IN THE HEART OF THE SEA and DEADPOOL.

During his last visit, Dadi Einarsson talked to us about his work on CONTRABAND. He then worked on films such as THE DEEP, BOARDWALK EMPIRE and GRAVITY. Framestore Reykjavik also became independant and is now called RVX.

For the 4th years of The Art of VFX, I decided to offer you new content and mostly editorial contents. This first article "Look back on 2013 and the expectations for 2014" is the first step. I hope you will find it interesting.
