Few weeks ago, the 2014 edition of Imaging the Future was held in Neuchatel, Switzerland. On this occasion, I met the VFX legend Scott Squires and ask him some questions about his impressive career.

Ben Murray has worked over 10 years as an Inferno / Flame artist. He then helps Prime Focus World to developed his stereo pipeline and he worked on films such as MEN IN BLACK 3, FRANKENWEENIE or NOAH.

n 2010, Simon Otto had explained in detail about his work at Dreamworks Animation on the first episode of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. He then worked on several shorts inspired by this film. He is now back with the second episode.

Rick O'Connor began his career in the visual effects at ILM more than 15 years ago with STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE. He then worked on films such as VAN HELSING, WAR OF THE WORLDS, all the TRANSFORMERS films or STAR TREK.

Richard Baker began his career in visual effects as compositing artist. He worked on projects like THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, SUNSHINE, ANGELS & DEMONS or CLASH OF THE TITANS. He then got interested in the stereoscopy and joined Prime Focus World. There he take care of movies like FRANKENWEENIE, WORLD WAR Z or GRAVITY.

Daniel Kramer began his career in visual effects there are more than 22 years. He worked at VisionArt on films like INDEPENDENCE DAY or GODZILLA. He joined Sony Pictures Imageworks in 2000 to work on SPIDER-MAN. He worked also on many projects such as THE POLAR EXPRESS, WATCHMEN or HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA.

Margaux Durand-Rival began her career in visual effects in 2008 at Sabotage Studio in Paris and then at Digital District. She worked on various commercials and music videos. In 2011, she joined The Third Floor in London and participated in previz many films like THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, MALEFICENT or EDGE OF TOMORROW.

In 2012, Jonathan Fawkner had told us in details of Framestore work on WRATH OF THE TITANS. He then worked on GRAVITY as additional visual effects supervisor. Today he talks about his work on EDGE OF TOMORROW.

Matt Kasmir began his career in the VFX in 1988 at The Computer Film Company. He works in the compositing and participates in many films such as KING KONG, V FOR VENDETTA or STARDUST. He joined Nvizible for GRABBERS and works on films like WRATH OF THE TITANS, SKYFALL or GRAVITY.

Greg Butler began his career in the visual effects more than 20 years ago at ILM. He then worked in several studios like Tippett Studio, Weta Digital and MPC. He has worked on many projects such as FORREST GUMP, THE MASK, the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy or JACK THE GIANT SLAYER.
